The right Hardware! (Mostly Intel HD Graphic Cards do not work with the Sims nd they are in most of the new Laptops! I asked my Computer shop if the computer I am about to buy is compatible with the Sims 2).It was the same for me but with the help of marshabruenig and Mootilda it finally worked for me and I want to share the solution for me It mostly crashes during creating the Family or in gameplay. It looks as if the Sims 2 don't work to a lot of People.
